Exploring Luxury Apartments in San Francisco

Exploring Luxury Apartments in San Francisco
The San Francisco area is one of the most popular places to live in the entire United States. This is due not only to its wealth of high-quality jobs but to its beautiful geography and vibrant culture as well.

Are you interested in living in San Francisco? Looking to learn a little more about SF apartments? Here is the article for you.

We’re going to go in-depth on luxury apartments in San Francisco, alerting you to exactly what’s available out there. Let’s get started!

Types of Luxury Apartments

In San Francisco, there is a wide variety of luxury apartments available. These come in many types, all of which we’ll discuss in detail below.

Multi Unit Complexes

The San Francisco metro is a dense urban area. So, as you might expect, it has more than its fair share of multi-unit complexes. These exist throughout the city and include everything from studio apartments to 1-bedroom apartments to 2-bedroom apartments to 3-bedroom apartments and more.

These are generally going to be your most affordable options, as their units share walls, floors, ceilings, plumbing, and HVAC systems. That said, just because they’re affordable doesn’t mean that they’re lacking.

In fact, many of these dwellings are quite spacious. Some even come with balconies and other special features.

Depending on where you look, you can find single units with modern decor, modern appliances, and top-notch insulative qualities. In other words, you can find some truly luxurious apartments in multi-unit complexes.

Townhomes

Another type of apartment to look out for in San Francisco is the townhome. Townhomes are essentially halves of houses. They share a wall with their other halves and, from their exteriors, appear to be single-family homes. They also possess multiple stories.

Now, while the traditional townhome will consist of two units, some townhomes will contain 4, 5, and maybe even more units. Regardless, however, each unit will look, more or less, the same as its neighbor.

Townhomes offer many of the benefits of a single-family home. For instance, many townhomes come with yards. They’re usually fairly spacious as well.

On the other hand, they’re cheaper than single-family homes. This is a tradeoff for a little less privacy.

Single-family Homes

There are also quite a few single-family homes for rent in the San Francisco area. These look like any other houses. They’re just rented out instead of purchased.

Single-family homes provide the utmost privacy and space. Note, however, that they’re generally more expensive than townhomes and multi-unit complex dwellings.

Both one and two-story homes are available. Note, though, that they’re harder to come by in some neighborhoods than in others.

Some of the styles of homes that you’ll find in the Bay Area include Victorian, Tudor Revival, Italianate, Beaux-Arts, Stick Style, and Shingle Style.

Popular Apartment Buildings in San Francisco

While you can find luxury apartments all over San Francisco and its surrounding areas, some particular buildings are more coveted than others. These buildings include the following:

NEMA

NEMA is one of the best-regarded apartment complexes in all of San Francisco. It’s particularly notable for its suite of amenities. These include three individual terraces, all of which feature Northern Californian plants and landscapes and one of which features a heated saline pool.

In addition to its terraces, it also offers a variety of touchscreens. These touchscreens display breaking news, transportation schedules, weather reports, and much more.

NEMA offers studios as well as 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments. All of these feature modern appliances and decor and offer tremendous views of the city. This complex is located in the city’s Mid-Market neighborhood.

Etta

Like NEMA, Etta offers a variety of studio, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments. The Etta, however, resides in the Polk Gulch neighborhood, an area featuring an assortment of bars, restaurants, parks, and coffee shops.

The apartments at Etta offer only the finest of modern luxuries. This is true in terms of both appliances and decor.

Amenities at Etta include two fireplaces areas, an indoor/outdoor lounge, a dog run, a patio garden, bike parking, a fitness center, and a picnic area.

Soma Residences

Up next is SoMa Residences. This complex is located in the SoMa (South of Market) neighborhood. This popular neighborhood is home to the San Francisco Giants baseball team as well as to the San Francisco Museum of Fine Art and several other museums.

SoMa Residences offers both studio and 1-bedroom floor plans. Some of these include lofts, not to mention balconies.

Amenities at this complex include a 24/7 fitness center, a bike room, 24-hour emergency maintenance, furniture rental, and 100 Mbps internet.

Jasper

Jasper is a 400-foot high-rise apartment in The East Cut neighborhood. This neighborhood is characterized by modern commercial towers, views of the San Francisco Bay, and a variety of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.

Jasper itself offers studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom floor plans. Many of these units sport balconies. All of them sport top-notch modern decor and appliances.

Amenities at Jasper include an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, saunas, a fitness center, a movie theater, a business center, dog grooming stations, common area WiFi, personal shopping services, 24/7 concierge, notary services, dog walking services, and much more. All in all, this might be the most luxurious apartment in all of San Francisco.

The Paramount

Another apartment complex to consider is the Paramount. This is located in the SoMa neighborhood as well. Like Jasper, it’s one of the most luxurious apartment complexes the city has to offer.

Amenities at the Paramount include a heated rooftop pool, a business center, a fitness center, high-speed WiFi, landscaped terraces, and barbecue areas. You’ll also find conference and meeting rooms, not to mention a private dining room.

The apartment units at the Paramount feature only the best in modern decor. This includes marble backsplashes, quartz counters, walk-in closets, stainless steel appliances, and much more.

The Wilson

Up next is The Wilson, located in the Mid-Market neighborhood. This complex sports a wide variety of studio, 1, and 2-bedroom apartments. All of its units are equipped with modern appliances, not to mention modern decor.

There are quite a few amenities offered at The Wilson. These run the gamut from a rooftop lounge and kitchen to a pet run to a fitness room to a rooftop deck to a yoga studio and more.

Living at The Wilson will offer you all sorts of beautiful views of the city. You’ll also be in close proximity to the Warfield Theater, not to mention the International Art Museum of America.

Vara

Located in the middle of the Mission District, Vara is a luxurious apartment complex featuring a collection of studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom floor plans. The units at Vara sport high-reaching ceilings in addition to sleek and modern decor and appliances.

Amenities at Vara include a fitness center, a bike room, a clubhouse, and concierge services. It should also be noted that Vara is a gated complex.

The Mission District itself has a quirky and eccentric vibe. It offers up a unique collection of restaurants, bars, and boutiques. If you’re seeking something a little different, this is the place to be.

2175 Market Apartments

If you’re looking for an apartment in the Upper Market neighborhood, you should look at the 2175 Market Apartments. This complex is equipped with a variety of 1 and 2-bedroom apartment units. All units feature modern decor and appliances, including stainless steel refrigerators and wood floors.

The amenities at this complex include a rooftop lounge, an outdoor grilling area, bike storage, an interior courtyard, and valet dry cleaning. Make note that this is also a gated community.

The Upper Market neighborhood itself is a dense urban area characterized by a variety of other apartment complexes. It also offers a number of shops, restaurants, bars, and parks.

Argenta

The last apartment we’re going to discuss is Argenta. This is located in the Polk Gulch neighborhood. It offers a number of 1 and 2-bedroom floor plans.

Amenities at Argenta include a TV lounge, concierge service, a garden terrace, a lounge, and a fitness center. Note also that Argenta is a gated complex.
